Exploring Generative Design and Sound in Processing
Aaron Bühler is a graphic designer from Freiburg im Breisgau with a background in both traditional and digital design. By integrating coding into his creative process, Aaron creates innovative, precise graphics that expand the possibilities of digital media. His work focusses on computer graphics and interactive media, exploring the dynamic connections betwe en visual aesthetics and user engagement.
Explore the exciting world of generative design and sound in this two-day, beginner-friendly workshop. Generative design combines art and algorithms to create dynamic visuals, while sound design brings audio into interactive experiences. This workshop, open to all without any coding experience, uses Processing—a versatile platform for creative coding—to teach participants how to create ambient soundscapes and reactive visuals. Starting with an introduction to generative design principles and sound, we’ll dive into hands-on exercises that allow you to experiment with different code examples and create your own scripts. By the end, you’ll have crafted an application that blends art, sound, and technology.
No Coding Skills required – Computer required (Mac / Windows / Linux)
The workshop is initiated by Zishi Han for Digitale Perspektiven. Reservation mandatory, please contact Christian – transformation@staedelschule.de
